Chicks and Baskets.......

Only a couple of things to share today. A little bit of Easter inspiration. I just love these little chick egg cup holders. I can't remember who gave them to us or if I picked them up somewhere it was so long ago. They have a little bit of a malevolent look in their eyes, but I still think they are pretty cute.

Set up with the lemons and the daffodils it gives a little bit of sunshine to my kitchen. The lemons are going to be used tomorrow for lemonade at the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt put on by our wonderful neighbors, Maria and Tom. I'll be sure to post some pics of that egg-citing event (Groan)

The one thing that I got finished today (finally) is the Moses Basket for the newest addition to the Malay Clan. This is a basket that I used for my youngest son, Carson. My husband's nephew and and his wife, Kenan and Stephanie, are overdue by a week now. We are hoping for a baby to soon fill this basket for Easter. I'll have to girl it up with some flowers made with my Big Shot if it's not a boy.

I was inspired by this Moses Basket that I saw online at www.caboodle-place.com. It's REALLY nice! Mmmmmmm........maybe I'll be able to make it too.

Well, it's a pretty busytime ahead, lots to do before Easter Sunday. Until then, have a good night and day.

My First Night...........

Hello! It's 12:30 a.m. and I am writing my first real post! I'm hoping that this blog will be additional inspiration to make and create more to add to my already beautiful life.

I'm very fortunate to be able to stay at home with my four kids and have a space to create and have opportunities to be inspired everyday. I receive a lot of inspiration from everyday items and surroundings to old movies to wonderful sites on the web that show me the beautiful things that others are creating on a daily basis.

It's almost Easter and the children are getting excited for that rabbit to show up! They received some lovely pussy-willows from their math tutor (as well as some other goodies). The little dolls decided to share them with their Mama. Thanks Mrs. Chetek!

I was able to make three vintage Easter cards a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to make a few more before the weekend. I picked up the vintage images at Hole's a couple of weeks ago (along with some other Easter treats). They are little vintage cards and........I hacked them up and made these:

On this card I used cardstock and designer paper from Stampin' Up. The background on the Apricot Appeal was stamped with the SU Bella Toile background stamp in Basic Grey ink. The lace (I LOVE LACE ON CARDS!!) and rhinestones are dollar store finds. EK Success punch, random ribbon and a beautiful vintage button out of one of my many "button boxes" received from special relatives. A little SU Dazzling Diamonds with a glue pen on the eggs and hat band.

I love these kids! This was some paper that I found at A Paper Affair (Good bye! Sad to see you go.) There was no identifying labels on the paper, so if anyone knows what brand it is let me know and I'll give credit where credit is due. I used the SU pink corduroy buttons and vanilla hardware frames. The roses are another dollar store find.

Have to love and use the Prima roses and leaves! Love them. The adhesive pearl is a dollar store item, button from Papertrey Ink, glitter brad and round leaf label are from Making Memories. Paper is SU Confetti and Mellow Moss.

Well.... not bad for a first post I hope, off to bed to get some rest so I can embark on another oh, so interesting day!

I am thankful for.........my friend Nicole from my Stampin' Up group who told me a while back that I should do this, my son, Christian for pointing me in the right direction, coffee and spell check. And most of all my children and husband who I love, from whom I learn from everyday and who drive me crazy to the point that I must craft to keep sane!
